Adult Sunday School Classes
Jimmy Byrd Class (John Knox Room)
The Jimmy Byrd Sunday School Class meets each week in the John Knox Room beginning at 9:45 am. This class combines lecture and discussion in its weekly formats for adults of all ages. A variety of guest lecturers teach the class. Rhett Davis is the lead teacher and moderator.
College Class (Room 408)
Join leaders in a casual discussion-based class for college age students. This class will provide a time of fellowship while delving into short-term Bible studies. Sunday mornings are just one of the many fellowship opportunities with this active group, which follows the Elon University schedule.
D. J. Walker Class (Room 203)
Members of this class of about 30 super-seniors engage in lively discussions, usually based on The Present Word, a Presbyterian Publishing curriculum. Leaders include an engaging group of team teachers from the class and congregation.
Enrichment Class (Room 228)
Using a discussion-based format, The Enrichment Class does several studies each year under the leadership of a lead teacher and other class volunteers. While the topics vary, there is an emphasis on looking at Scripture and its relevance in our day-to-day lives.
Open Door Class (Room 201)
Open Door is a lecture class which begins with the singing of familiar hymns. The class follows the studies in The Present Word, a Presbyterian curriculum, and is led by a dynamic teaching team of class members. The door is always open for visitors and prospective members.
Young Adult Class (Room 401)
The re-created Young Adult class (ages 25-35) studies and fellowships together each Sunday morning. Studies cover a broad range of topics from focused Bible study to topical issues. Young adult families of all sizes, with or without children, are invited to learn, grow, and fellowship together. Join us in our new classroom space and let our leadership team welcome you!
