College Ministries
Many people have said that the years you spend in college are the best years of your life. At First Presbyterian Church, Burlington, we strive to be an active part of those years. It is not easy to leave home, but if you are a FPC Youth Alumni, we haven’t forgotten about you. Keeping this in mind, we also recognize that there are students at nearby Elon University looking for a “church family away from home,” and we strive to be a welcoming place for them as well.

FPC Youth Alumni
We encourage you to connect with a campus ministry program. It is one of the quickest and most effective ways to meet people and establish new relationships. Most college and university campuses have campus ministries and we are happy to make connections for you. As you get acclimated to your new home, we would love to visit you, become reacquianted and get this: dinner’s on us. This way we can sit, visit, re-connect, and reflect on old times. When you have a chance to return to your roots at FPC, we will invite you to a Christmas time cookie event and Christmas lunch. We also want you to know that we think of you often and will, from time to time, send you a care package in the mail filled with fun and yummy stuff.
Elon University
We have a heart for College Students here at First Presbyterian Church. As a family of faith, we recognize some of the challenges of being away from home and extend a warm welcome to all of you. We would like to be your “church family away from home”, providing opportunities for spiritual growth in worship on Sunday mornings at 11 am, "Meet and Greets" with coffee and smoothies, and an opportunity to attend the College Conference at Montreat in January. We also invite you to monthly (free) lunches at members’ homes, breakfast at the pastor’s home, and tailgating for various events. We welcome all who are interested and would love to see you for worship, fellowship, and community.
