Grow & Learn

Our ministries for children and their families offer many opportunities for growing and learning in faith for infants through 5th graders. Children and their families, from both our church and community, are invited to participate in all of our children’s ministry programs offered on Sundays and throughout the week.

Sunday School

Sunday School is the cornerstone of our Children’s ministries. Each Sunday, beginning at 9:45 a.m., (September-May) classes are offered for our preschoolers through 5th grade. Using Spark Lectionary curriculum for Pre-K & K children and Deep Blue for 1st-5th grade, children experience age-appropriate Bible stories that follow the sermon text, engaging activities, music and much more!

Our nurWillphotobabysery offers opportunities for learning and growing in faith for infants and toddlers during Sunday School hour. Classrooms are child-friendly spaces staffed by childcare professionals and volunteers in a safe and loving environment.

Infants enjoy a warm, welcoming space fully equipped with books, toys, music, and care essentials.

Toddlers enjoy the God Loves Me curriculum each Sunday, which features 52 Bible stories and activities, in a space designed for their curiosity and learning through play,

Pre-K children, who join the Nursery Ministry during worship, enjoy the Walk with Me curriculum. Old and New Testament Bible stories, games, music and crafts are an integral part of our Pre-K nursery experience.

Splash! Birth to Three Faith Formation

Upon the birth of children in our congregation, our Nursery and Preschool Ministries Committee, offers a special ministry to our young families and their newest member. Splash!, by Augsburg-Fortress Publishing, is an educational ministry newsletter that is mailed to our families and children from birth through 3 years. Monthly packets provide information and support to parents as they minister to their child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development. The monthly Parent Pages offer ideas for faith-filled play, worship, meals, and prayer together. The music CDs are a terrific part of Splash! Babies will be lulled to sleep listening to Sleepy Time Tunes. Families will get moving to the Bible story songs on Totally Toddler Tunes. And kids will learn songs they’ll hear in Sunday school on the Singable Sunday Tunes. Our Nursery and Preschool Ministries are committed to supporting and partnering with families in nurturing God’s children though the Splash! program.

Worship Education for Kindergarten Children

Children Worship Too! is available for children and their parents each fall as children graduate from our nursery care into the sanctuary. Children and their families learn about worship in age-appropriate, hands-on ways that encourage children to become more engaged in worship.

Learning to Use My Bible

Learning to Use My Bible is a 5-week program for our 3rd grade children to introduce them to basics of using their Bibles. This engaging, age-appropriate class is an exciting experience full of games and activities that equip our children to confidently use their Bibles for a lifetime of study and worship. Personalized Bibles are presented to our 3rd graders during worship at the beginning of the program.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is offered each summer. We invite the children of our church and community to an incredible week of Bible stories, arts and crafts, music, recreation and discovery. Children 3 years through 5th grade graduates are invited to join us for a week of learning and growing in Christ together.
