Building Project Committee Update
|
Greetings:
Have you seen that pile of wood fiber in the rear of the Church? Who’s going to move that pile of wood fiber? YOU ARE! That’s right! Back by popular demand, the second Congregational Work Day will be held this coming Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. We have got to move and spread all that wood fiber within the two new playground areas so that we can move forward with the finishing touches on the playgrounds. We had a great day this past Saturday as we began our work in the playground areas. However, we only had twelve people come out and we need twice that many to come this Saturday to complete the task. This is a very labor intensive task and we need people. Please come this Saturday for an hour or two. If we could get 25-35 people over the course of the morning we can complete this task. This job takes no special talent, just some good old fashioned work.
If you can come, please bring work gloves, shovel, pitch fork, or a steel yard rake. If you have a wheel barrow, we could use several of those as well. This is part of our self-performing work that is really saving us some money. Please participate. Please call or email Bob Lewis(214-1799) to let him know that you can come. Our friendly volunteers will be calling you later this week to confirm your participation.
Thanks to Bill Moser, Russell Wilson, Dick Canon, Bobby Mize, Charlie Mize, Bob Rice, Bob Harkey (THE Supervisor), John Steelman and his brother. The weekly “Hard Hat Award” goes to Charlie Mize. He outworked everybody!
Forward in Faith, Bob Lewis
