The Sanctuary Organ
Built in 1967, and rebuilt in 2007, for our church by the Schantz Organ Company of Orrville, Ohio, the
organ comprises 51 ranks of pipes (approximately 3000 pipes) and is an outstanding
instrument which has been endorsed by many concert organists who have performed
in organ recitals here, including Maurice and Marie-Madeleine Durufle (she performed
here four times), Vernon deTar, Robert Anderson, Louis Robilliard from France,
Michael Schneider of Germany, Robert Anderson, and Donato Cuzzato from Italy,
as well as many others. While it is essentially an instrument designed for worship
services, it performs a majority of music from various countries and from different
periods quite well. The acoustics of the sanctuary complement the sound of the
organ as well as the sound of the spoken word. The Sanctuary organ was the gift
of Mrs. James Lee Love.
The Chapel Organ
The Chapel organ was installed in 1982. It was built by the Andover Organ Company
of Methuen, Massachusetts. It has fifteen stops, and has 984 pipes. It is one
of the outstanding tracker organs in this part of the country. The Chapel organ
was a gift of Elizabeth F. and Frank S. Holt, Sr.
