Positive Leaders Among Youth (Philippians 4:4)

JOY... in all we do, wherever we are, whenever we are there, and whomever we are with

FPC Youth Ministries

Essential, Vibrant, and Relational are three words that can be used to summarize the Youth Ministries here at First Presbyterian Church, Burlington. Youth (Grades 6th through 12th) are an essential part of First Presbyterian Church. We strive to be open and welcoming to everyone through worship, prayer, service, study, and fellowship. Through relationships between youth and adults,  we work together to encourage and support each other in growing spiritually, personally, intellectually, emotionally, and physically to cultivate leadership.

Here at FPC, we strive to create an atmosphere founded in Christ and enriched through lasting relationships. Youth Group programs and activities, Sunday School and Confirmation, "Dough Devotions” at Biscuitville, our annual slide show and covered dish supper, fall retreat, local service opportunities, annual fundraiser, live nativity, ski retreat, rake and run, youth conferences, Presbytery retreats, and summer mission trip experiences are all a taste of the work God is doing and the memories created.

Both Jr. and Sr. High meet @ FPC on Sunday nights from 6 to 7:30 pm with an optional discussion time from 7:30 to 8 pm for Sr. Highs.

6 to 6:30 pm                       Dinner Fellowship and Blessing ($3)
6:40 to 7:30 pm                 Jr. and Sr. High Activities and Programs
7:30 to 8 pm                       Dig Deeper Discussions (Optional for Sr. High)

Our Youth Ministries “Family of Faith” is possible due to the dedicated support and leadership from generous members of the congregation and community. As God calls us to discipleship, the walls and doors that border First Presbyterian Church create the heart of opportunity for youth and adults to come together in reaching out into the world (Matt. 28:20). With God leading us, we learn from each other, serve together, worship together, fellowship together, and travel together.

WHATEVER WE DO, IN THOUGH OR DEED...WE DO IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD. (COLOSSIANS 3:12-17)

The Dough is Rising
We gather weekly for great year of Dough Devotions.  All High School students are welcome to join us at Biscuitville (S. Church Street, near La Fiesta) around 7:30 am before school on Tuesdays.  Our devotions are at 8 am and we will provide rides for anyone who is dropped off to join us.  COME HUNGRY FOR BISCUITS AND AN INSPIRING WORD!!

Confirmation Class

On Sunday, January 8th, Macy Lewis, Whitson McCuiston, and Cameron Wilson (all 8th grade students) will embark on the Confirmation Journey together- studying scripture, Presbyterian Polity, worship, the sacraments, theology, serving in worship leadership, and much more.  They will be joined with elder partners who will serve as mentors to them and walk with them through this journey and on May 20th - each will be invited to make a personal profession of faith to join the Church.  Prayers for each of them during their journeys are coveted.
