The Sacrament of Baptism

Baptisms are a regular part of our Sunday morning worship services because our entire congregation is making a commitment to support and nurture a child or adult being baptized. We believe the Sacrament of Baptism fully initiates you into Christ’s church, is a sign and seal of forgiveness of sin, and is the gift of new life and identity as part of God’s household. We will work with you to schedule the baptism at a convenient time for all. Please contact us to talk about the baptism of your child or your own baptism and profession of faith.

Weddings at FPC

Congratulations! The Christian wedding ceremony is a blessing and one of life’s sacred rituals. At First Presbyterian Church a wedding is a service of worship, a religious celebration whereby the union of a couple is affirmed within the context of their covenantal relationship with God. We work closely with each couple to plan the details of the day.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection

Our funeral service of worship provides the community of faith an opportunity to walk with the departed as he or she makes the journey from this life to the life eternal. We give thanks to God for the life of the deceased and the many ways each graced our lives, and we embrace our confident hope in the resurrection to life everlasting. We have prepared this resource guide to help you plan faithfully for funeral services. We are here to help you with this process.
